Camera Obscura
The Camera Obscura was the first form of photography's evolution. It was a huge box with a small hole that would show the image on the far wall on the inside of it. any image that was seen, was traced by the photographer/artist.
Daguerrotype
The Daguerrotype was another very early form of photography that was introduced in around 1800's. With the use of silver, iodine and mercury vapour along with a salt solution, an image would be shown on a metal plate which was only to be used once.
Calotype/Talbotype
The Calotype/Talbotype was created in 1835. It was the first form of photography to use the negative and be able to create more than one copy. Once the negative image was exposed to light, it would turn into a positive image.
Collodian Wetplate
The Collodian Wetplate was both Daguerrotype and Calotype combined. This form of photography would create a clear image and was able to be replicated many times.
Dorothea Lange
Dorothea Lange was a photographer who is best known for her photos and documentaries on the Great Depression.
Lewis Hine
Lewis Hine was another photographer who's main focus was to capture images of children working in very bad conditions. His pictures are what caused the appearance of child labour laws.
Mathew Brady
Mathew Brady was known for having granted persimmons to take photos of the Civil War.
Eadward Muybridge
Eadward Muybridge was the man who invented the zoopraxiscope which made images of moving objects. This also counts ass the very early stages of animation.
